Riding the Elevated Metro Train

Elevated Train just opened around 6 months ago.
Most people riding are doing so for fun and somthing new to do.
So far, they only have a few miles of track usable with only 6 stations complete.
Route covers from close to our hotel going back to the east.
Plan will eventually include having a loop around the entire city - Hopefully they won't take as long as our Kellogg expansion !

Each Station has many security people - all passengers are screened - searching for things that could be used to damage the tracks or trains - serious.
No cameras are allowed to take picutres inside the terminals therefore I have none -  so far.

Pictures can be taken once inside the cars and away from the station.
This is a vast area inside the city which has not yet been developed.
Very expensive land.

Passing by a larger than normal size temple.

Group photo opportunity

This is Bangalore's main source of rail transporation and has been around for a long time.
People can take this train to various spots around the city.
It's connnected to a central terminal where you can then switch trains and travel to differnet cities - Very common for most our people to travel around India.

Group traveling to Mysore

Stopped half way to Mysore for a traditional Indian breakfast

The Ranganatha Swamy Temple in Srirangapatna enshrines Lord Vishnu as Ranganatha. It is said that the Ganaga chieftain, Tirumalaiya built this temple in 894 AD.

This is a spot where they believe the universe focuses its power - Good things can happen to you.

One of the priests sitting in front of one of the many gods

Does anyone know he is?

Starting to get hot.  Not allowed to wear shoes.  My little piggies were getting too hot.

Crowd was always constant to see a very large statue of a god
